MDF is one of the widely used and highly produced man-made panel products in the world, China, Europe and North America are the 3 major production areas of MDF. 2022 China MDF capacity is on a downward trend, Europe and the United States MDF capacity continues to grow steadily, on the overview of MDF capacity in Europe and North America in 2022, with a view to providing reference for industry practitioners.
1 2022 European region MDF production capacity
In the past 10 years, the MDF production capacity in Europe has continued to grow, as shown in Figure 1, generally showing two stages of characteristics, the capacity growth rate in 2013-2016 was larger, and the capacity growth rate in 2016-2022 slowed down. 2022 MDF production capacity in the European region was 30,022,000 m3, an increase of 1.68% compared with the previous year. was 1.68%.In 2022, the top three countries in Europe's MDF production capacity were Turkey, Russia and Germany.The specific countries' MDF production capacity is shown in Table 1.The increase in Europe's MDF production capacity in 2023 and beyond is shown in Table 2.The increase in Europe's MDF production capacity in 2023 and beyond is shown in Table 2.

2 MDF capacity in North America in 2022
In recent years, the MDF production capacity in North America has entered a period of adjustment, as shown in Figure 2, after experiencing a significant increase in MDF production capacity in 2015-2016, the growth rate of production capacity slowed down in 2017-2019 and reached a small peak in 2019, 2020-2022 The MDF capacity in North America is relatively stable at 5.818 million m3, with no change. The United States is the main producer of MDF in North America, with a capacity share of more than 50%, see Table 3 for the specific MDF capacity of each country in North America.
